Construction is nearing completion on the $185 million Rialto Bioenergy Facility (RBF). When it’s completed it will be North America’s largest organics processing facility. The facility is being built in collaboration with owner Anaergia and Waste Management, Republic Services, Southern California Edison, Anaheim Public Utility, Southwest Gas Utility, City of Rialto, the Sanitation Bureau of the City of Los Angeles, and the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County and of Orange County.

The San Onofre nuclear plant with its instantly recognizable twin domes have entered retirement. The $5 billion decommissioning and demolition is considered one of the largest and most complex decommissioning projects in the country.

PNG Builders, Fallbrook Energy Storage System
The County of San Diego is constructing 40 megawatts (MW) of battery energy storage located on approximately 4.22-acres off East Mission Road in the unincorporated community of Fallbrook. When completed, the storage facility will be the largest in the San Diego County region.

Pio Pico Energy Center (PPEC)
The 600-megawatt Pio Pico Energy Center project site is in Otay Mesa, CA. This natural gas power plant provides energy during peak demand hours. This state-of-the-art power plant can go from offline to full capacity within 10 minutes or less.

The Haynes Repowering Project modernized how residents of Los Angeles receive their electricity. By updating the technology at the Haynes Generating Station, the plant became more reliable and cleaner.

SDGE, Sunrise Powerlink Project
This project consisted of the construction of new 500kV and 230kV electric transmission lines between the existing Imperial Valley and Sycamore Canyon Substations, as well as the construction of a new Suncrest Substation. Additional system upgrades and modifications were also necessary in order to reliably operate the new lines. The entire project spans 117 miles between the El Centro area of Imperial County and southwest San Diego County.
